Welcome to Ultra Electronics Maritime Systems

Ultra Electronics Maritime Systems is an ISO 9001 registered Company, which has earned its reputation as a world leader in the development and manufacture of advanced communication, surveillance, command and control, and security systems for critical real-time applications in extreme environments.

Maritime Systems' emphasis on customer focus, as well as, its expertise in innovative, solution-based engineering and in medium-volume, low-cost manufacturing results in superior performance and a quality of service that is second to none. These are among the many reasons why customers continue to choose Maritime Systems for their defence and security needs.

Established in 1947, Maritime Systems has its origins in the development and manufacture of sonobuoys for antisubmarine warfare use. To date, Maritime Systems has produced more than two million units in eleven different models for military users worldwide.

Underwater Battlespace
Maritime Systems has extensive expertise in naval sonar systems and is Canada's designated centre of excellence for military towed arrays. In addition to supplying passive arrays for Canada's Victoria class submarines, Maritime Systems has also developed active-passive and directional systems for use in complex antisubmarine warfare roles on warships. These systems have been selected for use by Australia and the Netherlands. Maritime Systems advanced digital telemetry towed array is employed on the UK Royal Navy's Surface Torpedo Defence System.

Magneto Inductive
Maritime Systems' Magneto Inductive technology provides non-line-of-site communications solutions for both military and emergency response customers. Signals are transmitted through a magnetic field rather than a radio frequency or wired connection, which means that communications can flow through rock, concrete, sediment, water or ice. This enhanced connectivity results in improved operational standards for military and civil defence users alike. Whether it is used for voice communication or remote detonation, Maritime System's Magneto Inductive Technology is truly unstoppable.

Security Solutions
Maritime Systems supplies sophisticated Command and Control systems for critical infrastructure security applications and real-time situational awareness software that is employed as a multi-agency emergency response and planning tool by first responders, emergency management personnel, local authorities and law enforcement professionals throughout the world.
