What is Magneto Inductive (MI) Technology?
MI technology utilises quasi-static AC magnetic fields as a wireless channel for signaling, communications, guidance and navigation. The unique physical properties of the channel enable it to operate through and across any medium, and medium boundaries; land, sea or air. |

The channel is immune to scattering, reflection or multi-pathing and can penetrate any medium including water, ice, earth and rock (including subterraneous tunnels, caves or bunkers), as well as urban structures. Consequently, MI products provide solutions in areas where traditional wireless systems are unreliable and where direct cabling is problematic.
MI transmitters generate a highly localized dipole field with no far field (RF) emissions. This eliminates the possibility of detection outside of the operating area and contributes to the MI channel's high resiliency to conventional electronic warfare countermeasures. |
