Magneto Inductive Technology

Magneto Inductive (MI) technology utilises quasi-static AC magnetic fields as a wireless channel for signaling, communications, guidance and navigation. The unique physical properties of the channel enable it to operate through and across any medium, and medium boundaries; land, sea or air.

Maritime Systems, the world leader in MI technology, has been providing innovative solutions to military clients for wireless command activation, communication, navigation and detection applications. With a design lab in Canada and a cutting-edge manufacturing facility in the United States, Maritime Systems has the capacity to take a design concept all the way from prototype to final product.

Our qualified team works closely with customers to determine needs and to provide support throughout a product's life span. Our experience in channel modeling and predicting field distribution in complex mixed-media operating environments enables us to rapidly ascertain the hardware requirements of any proposed MI technology application.

MI transmitters generate a highly localized dipole field with no far field (RF) emissions. This eliminates the possibility of detection outside of the operating area and contributes to the MI channel's high resiliency to conventional electronic warfare countermeasures. The MI channel is immune to scattering, reflection or multi-pathing and can penetrate any medium including water, ice, earth and rock (including subterraneous tunnels, caves or bunkers), as well as urban structures. Consequently, MI products provide communications solutions in areas where traditional wireless systems are unreliable and where direct cabling is problematic. Maritime Systems' MI products are truly unstoppable.
